ACEC Washington offers members two annual conferences that cover specific issues businesses face today. The Spring Conference focuses on improving business positioning in order to capitalize on future opportunities, or minimize risks in times of challenge. The Fall Conference is geared to improve and enhance the firm’s human resource; from discovering and enabling leaders to managing leadership changes.
For the Winter Meeting, ACEC Washington invites speakers to share future expectations in the industry. In past meetings state economists, legislative and local officials have presented the upcoming forecasts that impact the design professional industry.
The Spring and Fall Conferences are multi-day events held at leading conference resorts in Washington and Oregon. Conferences feature renown experts in the industry The Spring Conference is held in Mid-May. The Fall Conference is held in Mid-September, and is usually a joint effort with ACEC Oregon or with nearby state ACEC organizations.
Common activities at the conferences include a welcome reception, member-only meeting, and a fun activity such as golf to close out the conference.
The Winter Meeting targets the upcoming year from an economic and political standpoint. The typical format of the meeting has been a focused half-day meeting with presentations from economists and political speakers, with a panel discussion and an ACEC Member-only meeting.
